History

There was an entry of 94 competitors in this event playing across all the age groups. A total of 109 matches were played during the day but had there not been some withdrawals, we would have possibly had a total of 130 matches!!!

It was a long but enjoyable day but for the sake of everyone, there will be some rule changes (see notice on http://www.badminton.ie) for the Ulster Veterans Event.

Congratulations to Michael O'Malley who won his first National Medal.

The Yonex Veterans Inter County League is comprised of teams entered within over 40, over 45, over 50, over 55, over 60 and over 65 age categories. These teams are divided into regions and play a series of home and away fixtures. Depending on the number of teams and divisions, some regions have play-offs, which will be held on Sunday 20th March 2010. The winners of each region will contested the National Finals in Stoke-on-Trent on the 24th and 25th April 2010. Fixtures for 2009/10 available shortly.
